I recently tried posting on this post on Liam Young’s Official Website (groan) after he claimed he was writing a book. If there is one thing that annoys me more than anything on this planet, it’s people releasing books after they’ve had their pathetic 15 minutes of fame, so I thought I’d post up my comment here so the world can still see it. See above for visual proof of posting, and see below for comment in full.

You’re writing a book?! That is almost as ridiculous as Louis Hamilton “writing a book” after he’d made it big in his first year. Apart from you never made it big.

I often sit and wonder what this world has come to, and I think I’ve got it – we live in a world where people have their 15 minutes of fame and think that everyone else will want to read about it, so they get somebody to write them a book.

We live in a world that clings on to the world of celebrity so much that no matter how somebody got on the telly – it’ll be Crimewatch next – as long as they can say “I was on the telly”, that’s enough to turn them into an overnight name.

For God’s sake, have some grace about yourself man. Don’t whore yourself off to desperately cling on to that 15 minutes of fame. It’s just sad.

I wouldn’t mind, but Liam Young was even proven to be a fraud.

Funny you say this….
I was lucky enough to catch the first episode of BB (which ever number or whatever it was) and I saw this joker, sat back in a trendy café with his macbook. Hearing he was a nerd like myself I was interested in him. Not in a dating type of way or anything sexual (he isnt my type) just the whole fact he was 19 and ran a 200k a year business. I spent about 20mins trying to find his company online and a bit about him but nothing was floating around then.

That was it, still at the back of my mind I was interested how he did it. After all I’ve got a hosting company myself and its nothing in compassion. Now to see your ‘blog’ about him and just spent about 30mins reading other forums about him it turns out his company isn’t that much different from mine after all.

Good work, I agree on the book too.
